Camping with the Pevelers : On Memorial Day weekend I met up with the Peveler family and friends for some camping on the New River. We had a great time visiting and catching up. I love you guys! At dusk on Sunday the family returned their parents' ashes to the river they had loved so well. It was the perfect evening for a quiet and beautiful service. May you rest in peace together, Ed and Lorraine. We'll always love and remember you - mother, father, and best friends.

Belize: Diving : We did 8 dives in Belize. Here's a sample of what we saw. Keep in mind that red light is filtered out by only 12 feet of water, so pictures that look gray or brown are probably more red in real light. I've tried to color-correct these photos, but it isn't easy to do. In any case, it was a great place to dive. The reef was in great shape, and the divemasters were a lot of fun and very knowledgeable. Big thanks to P.T. (Laura's brother) for letting us use his camera to get these shots!

The Everglades : While visiting Miami, we took a little excursion to the amazing Everglades National Park. It was only a 45 minute drive from Miami Beach, but it was like stepping onto a different planet. Unfortunately, the ecosystem there is under severe pressure from the water demands of Miami and southern Florida - it may not be around for the next generation to enjoy.
