While visiting Miami, we took a little excursion to the amazing <A href="http://www.nps.gov/applications/parks/ever/ppMaps/EVERmap1%2Epdf" target=_NEW>Everglades National Park</A>. It was only a 45 minute drive from Miami Beach, but it was like stepping onto a different planet. Unfortunately, the ecosystem there is under severe pressure from the water demands of Miami and southern Florida - it may not be around for the next generation to enjoy.
